Shipping & Returns

Every DharmaDots book is printed and personalised to order. This page covers everything about how we deliver, what shipping costs, and our policy on returns and refunds. If you have a question that isn't answered here, email us at hello@dharmadots.com.

Shipping

Physical books are printed locally in your region through our global print network, with production facilities across 30+ countries. Your book is manufactured as close to you as possible — faster delivery, lower cost, and a smaller carbon footprint than shipping from a single warehouse.

Production time: Once your order is placed, your personalised book is generated and sent to print. Please allow 2–3 business days for production before dispatch. This is in addition to the delivery times below.

No surprise at checkout. Shipping is calculated in real time based on your exact address before you pay. You will see your exact shipping cost and estimated delivery date on the checkout screen — before you enter any payment details.

You will receive a tracking link by email once your order ships.

Buying as a gift with a deadline? Add your full shipping address at checkout to see the exact cost and delivery date before you pay. We recommend ordering at least 10–12 business days before the occasion to allow for production and delivery. If you're short on time, the Digital Copy is delivered instantly by secure download link — no wait, no shipping fee.

For digital orders, delivery is instant. You will receive a secure download link by email immediately after payment is confirmed. The link is valid for 30 days and can be accessed on any device.

Personalised orders

Every DharmaDots book — both physical and digital — is printed and personalised to order. This means your child's name, traits, and personalised scene are generated uniquely for your copy at the time of purchase. No two books are identical.

Because of this, we strongly encourage you to use the live preview in our order builder before completing your purchase. The preview shows you exactly how your child's name and personalised scene will appear in the book.

Before placing your order, you will be asked to confirm that all personalisation details are correct. This confirmation is required at checkout.

Returns & refunds

Because every book is personalised and printed specifically for your order, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds once your order has been placed and production has begun — except in the cases described below.

We will offer a full replacement or refund if:

— Your book arrives physically damaged or defective
— Your book contains a production error that we made (for example, the wrong reading level was used, or the personalisation did not match what you submitted)
— Your digital download link is non-functional and we are unable to resolve it within 48 hours

In these cases, please contact us at hello@dharmadots.com within 14 days of receiving your order. Include your order number and a description of the issue. For physical damage, a photograph helps us resolve things faster.

What we cannot refund: We are unable to refund orders where the personalisation details submitted were incorrect (for example, a name spelled incorrectly, or the wrong age entered). This is why we provide a live preview and require confirmation before checkout. Please double-check all details before placing your order.

If you believe we made an error on our side, we will always do our best to make it right.

Order cancellations

Once your order is confirmed and personalisation begins, we are generally unable to cancel it. If you need to cancel immediately after placing an order, please email us at hello@dharmadots.com as quickly as possible — we will do our best to intercept the order before production starts, but this cannot be guaranteed.
